Bowls report Thursday 4th Saturday 6th June 2026.
Social bowls played Thursday.
Doug Mackereth, Berice Eather defeated Colin Armstrong, Cecile 23-9. Eva Sadler, Rob Pownall defeated David Briggs, Kay Carolan 28-12, Dawn Armstrong, Dee Fletcher, Stuart Coleman defeated Trish Allison, Cindy Neil, Di Chessells 21-6, Yvonne Hardman, Gloria Campey, Keith Stoltenberg defeated Rhonda Fitzgerald, Glennis Godden, Lyn Tuckey 21-5.
Saturday morning 8 bowlers, Tony & Marie Redman, Cindy Neil, Debbie Gleeson, Kay Carolan, Trish Allison, Rebecca Taylor and her dad Ian enjoyed a morning of Irish bowls.
The game is played with all bowlers delivering two bowls each then the first bowler delivers the jack and points are scored with the first bowl closest to the jack scoring four, second three, third two, and fourth bowl 1. It is surprising how hard it is to get the jack near your own bowls when it is your turn to deliver it.
Don’t forget bowlers Scone travelling bowlers will be at the club Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Put your name on the sheet at the club and enjoy a great weekend of friendship.
Ladie's consistency singles will commence on Thursday 18th June and the men’s fours will be played on Saturday 20th. June.
