You just don’t know who you can trust in this world.

People you thought were friends even considered them family and they betray you.

You start a business to help them out, because the place they once worked sold and they no longer have a job and they betray you.

People you go into
Business with thinking they are good people and will be great business partners, betray you.

I’m glad this business is successful and is blooming, it’s a credit to the staff.

So you can cry poor, claim your going broke, claim abandonment of position, You may think you have won, but actually your decision to push our arrangement to be recognised as a bonafide partnership only strengthens my case.

To all who read this, be aware of the people in your life you trust, they will eventually show their true colours and betray you in one way or another.

It’s very sad really, when you show you have no integrity, ethics or morals nor accountability of your own actions personally or professionally.

Experienced Front of House Staff – Casual Position

Barkers Creek Restaurant & Bar is looking for an experienced and friendly Front of House team member to join our team!

We’re looking for someone who is confident working with customers, enjoys providing great service, and is comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

What we’re looking for:

Previous Front of House / restaurant experience
Experience with table service
Friendly, professional and confident customer service
Experience serving alcoholic beverages
Current RSA
Food Handling certificate/knowledge
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Reliable, organised and able to stay calm during busy services
Availability for evening and weekend shifts

This is a casual position, with hours depending on our weekly roster and business needs.

If you have hospitality experience and enjoy creating a welcoming experience for customers, we’d love to hear from you!

Our new hours will be:

🌙 DINNER
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday – Saturday: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

☕🍳 WEEKEND BREAKFAST
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am – 11:30am

What is food to us? And why do we do what we do?

Our recipes and ideas begin long before we enter the restaurant, and continue long after we go home.

Food isn't just meat and vegetables on a plate to us, it isn't just a means of survival, it's a passion.

Take James's Red Curry Pork Belly (an upcoming special)for example. Subtle notes of star anise, the element of citrus brought through by home-grown kaffir lime leaves, a gentle touch of heat from red chillies and the smooth flavour of coconut milk and cream (plus a shopping list of other ingredients). The use of spices and the blending of flavours is what drives James to bring this beautiful food to you.

Dishes like this aren't just for the restaurant, these are on regular rotation at James's house, as he cooks for friends and family. This food and these ideas make their way into the restaurant and onto your plates, because, you are all family to us.
