Mongrel Wine

Mongrel Wine It’s Shiraz… But Not Like You Know It Wines made from Shiraz grapes are full bodied and high in alcohol, aren’t they? Plus great quality for the price.

Not the ones we make at Mongrel Vineyard…

There’s nothing wrong with a big, brassy Barossa-style Shiraz. But we wanted to do something a bit different with our little plot of Shiraz vines. So, inspired by European winemakers we’ve created a select range of medium bodied reds. Our Shiraz blends are a little out of the ordinary. They have reduced alcohol but retain an interesting complexity of flav

our. You’ll find all our wines are easy-drinking and food-friendly. They’re made to be enjoyed now or put down for short term cellaring (up to five years). If you’re looking for a delicious alternative to Barossa Shiraz… appreciate food-friendly reds… or want a quality wine that you can afford to drink every day… then we think you’ll like Mongrel wines.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ BEWARE OF SNAKES

As the weather begins to warm up, it's a great time to be outdoors. The warm weather, however can bring snakes and other reptiles out of their winter hibernation in search of food, water and warmth. If you see a snake, remain calm, do not approach the snake, walk away slowly and keep a safe distance.

A large brown snake was recently spotted at Mudgee Cemetery. Please be cautious and mindful of where you walk if visiting this area.

🐍 Further information on snakes including snake removal, identification and first aid advice are available on Council’s website.
