**IMPORTANT EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT**

Sadly, due to recent COVID safe measures put in place across Victoria (and Australia), we are making the difficult decision to postpone the James Morrison Academy End of Semester Concert for this Thursday 3 June.

We were so close, which makes it all the harder, but we are unable to deliver the concert we had hoped for, with our faculty and guest artists unable to travel into South Australia.

We take the health and safety of our students, staff, and patrons very seriously and with that in mind we have had to make an extremely difficult decision.

A new date has been scheduled for Thursday 5 August 2021.

We will be contacting each guest that has tickets purchased directly via email. Credits or refunds will be offered to those that can't make the rescheduled date.

We look forward to seeing you all soon, and we thank you for your support. Stay safe and take care - see you all on Thursday 5 August.

The next gig at the Pantry is in 2 sleeps .. yes we're counting down with the 2021 students from the James Morrison Academy of Music at Uni SA on Wednesday night for a night of swingin' Jazz!

Come along and enjoy some awesome music with a relaxed vibe at the Pantry - food and full bar will be available on the night.

Our Story

It’s been more than fifty years since Mount Gambier last had a dedicated jazz club. In that time we’ve seen the incredible growth of the Generations in Jazz event each year and the establishment of the James Morrison Academy of Music. The next logical step is the creation of a Jazz club where people can enjoy this music on a weekly basis, and where both the students from the Academy and visiting guests can perform for the local community.

We’ve styled the club on some of the great jazz venues we’ve played at in the USA, particularly New York – that means a casual atmosphere and a focus on the music. There’ll be regular jam sessions, duos, trios, big bands, visitors from all over the world, and that essential jazz ingredient – spontaneity.
