Our Summer League Night Finals wrapped up in style, and what an end to the night it was!
In the Semi Finals, AC⚡️PVC edged out the Hazbens by 2 strokes, while the Birdie Bros got the better of the Hacky Gilmores in an absolute nail biter.
That set up a blockbuster Grand Final at Sawgrass between the season’s Minor Premiers The Choppers, AC⚡️PVC & Birdie Bros.
Tensions were high an none of the teams were willing to give an inch, a couple of bogeys from The Choppers and AC⚡️PVC early gave Birdie Bros the lead. All teams steadied the ship and started to get into a groove.
With 4 holes to play Birdie Bros had a 2 stroke lead and were playing some pretty good team golf, however, the dreaded 17th became the 'make or break' hole. AC⚡️PVC were the only team to make the green, with Birdie Bros and The Choppers heading to the drop zone multiple times.
Heading into the last hole AC⚡️PVC had a two stroke lead, all they had to do was cruise to the finish line. The pressure for everyone else proved too much, and clearly some teams should have packed floaties rather than golf clubs. As AC⚡️PVC blew out their lead to 4 strokes, claiming their first League Night victory! Congratulation Kris and Mark.
