Another Dark M**o expression in the central Highlands

Dark M**o is officially underway.

And when you need a breather from the city, the best escape is an hour up the road.

The drive to Bothwell is one of Tasmania's great winter road trips: frosty paddocks, mist on the hills, and 60 minutes later, you're rolling into one of the prettiest highland villages in the state. Wander, stretch the legs, then settle in at Clyde Mill for a long lunch by the fire, a distillery tour, or a quiet wh**ky while the Clyde rolls past.

Our kitchen is open every day throughout the festival. No bookings needed to drop in, though lunch tables are worth locking in.

Come for the drive. Stay for the pour.
Clyde Mill Distillery + Kitchen, 254 Nant Lane, Bothwell

Good evening. Below is a shared post from a person promoting national gems to be discovered by adventure seekers. We are not sure why they used AI for the photo, but the more important point is that nationally the Walls of Jerusalem National Park and walk is being recognized. We shared it to show the reach our region has in the Nation. Those wishing to come would research the area and perhaps also discover the other wonderful natural assets we have. To those that have had their evening ruined by us doing this we are truely sorry. Perhaps forward the original page a photo of the walk so that he can use it next time.

The Walls of Jerusalem National Park in the central highlands of Tasmania protects one of the finest concentrations of ancient pencil pine forest in the world, with trees growing in a landscape shaped entirely by glaciation in settings of extraordinary alpine beauty.

The walk to the Walls of Jerusalem is 16 kilometres return from the car park with 600 metres of elevation gain.

Those who overnight in the park and spend two days walking the lake circuit describe it as the finest alpine wilderness camping experience available in Tasmania.

Doug and Joan are long time shack residents in Miena. Doug has been coming to the highlands fly fishing since he was a young man and has brought his family here as they grew up.
He has supported and continues to support the Great Lake Tie In both personally and with the Ballarat Fly Fishers Club.
Congratulations on your life membership Doug and we look forward to seeing Joan and you again next fishing season.
