THE PRINCE has long been the home of Merewether locals catching up for a drink and a bite to eat. But if you haven’t visited in a while you might be pleasantly surprised- The Prince was extensively renovated last year and reopened in late 2019. We've been pumping fresh new life into this classic public house off the back of this reno, with a fresh, friendly and motivated team on board. The new and improved Prince features a refurbished Public Bar, state of the art Sports Bar, VIP room, upstairs Balcony Bar and a bistro dining space serving up top-notch pub food. Following a brief closure this year, The Prince is fully open and proud to be a COVID Safe business.

We’ve slipped into Spring Carnival mode at The Prince. 🏇🌸🥂 The umbrellas are up, the flowers are ordered, the fridges are stocked and we’re gearing up for a huge Melbourne Cup Day.

Go all in with our $75pp Balcony Party — with a Farmers Wife Race Day Spritz on arrival, freshly shucked oysters, sashimi bar, roaming canapés, live music, big screens, sweeps, prizes and your own allocated table. Want to make a real day of it? Add a 3-hour drinks package for +$65pp.

🐟 Confit Ocean Trout, Pickled Daikon, Soy Mirin Dressing + Peanut Crunch. One for the trout fans and pictured up top.

🥩 Beef Tataki — Cape Grim Eye Fillet, Yakiniku Dressing, Chilli, Coriander + Crispy Shallots. Already shaping up as a new menu favourite.
