NEW Nikka from the Barrel 40th Anniversary Component Tasting!

We’re very excited to announce that Australian Nikka Ambassador Marcus Parmenter has pulled out some very special bottles to bring you a Nikka from the Barrel Component Tasting to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of this iconic Japanese blend!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24 at 7pm

As premium whiskies began to emerge in 1980’s Japan, so too did the wealth of the middle classes in order to afford them. Nikka from the Barrel was launched in 1985 to give established whisky drinkers the experience of nosing and tasting whiskies “from barrels” which only blenders have access too.

Burns Night Dinner 2026

All eyes may be on Christmas and the summer break, but here in Scotch-land, we're looking beyond to the infamous Burns Night celebration on Sunday 25th of January 2026.

Following the success of last year's event, we've invited our friend and talented chef Ekram Rai back into the kitchen to make good of the ceremonial haggis and wow us with a supper (or rather dinner) to remember.

Where there are Burns' Night celebrations, there should ALWAYS be whisky, and so we've also invited some of our most revered Scotch brands to join us - Scotch Malt Whisky Society Victorian Ambassador and

Consider this your formal invite to join us in raising a glass to Robert Burns, the great Scottish poet and lyricist with a formal bagpipe ceremony, address to a Haggis, and some poetry from The Bard.

Sunday 25 January at 7pm
Tickets $110 per person
Limited to 25 tickets
(although all who visit the public bar at around 7pm will be treated to bagpipes)

Includes:
> The Glenfiddich 15 year old cocktail on arrival

Can you pick a 30-year-old Scotch? We're setting the challenge for Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in March 2026 - and you're invited!

Next year we bring you the ultimate blind tasting challenge, six single malt whiskies, including a rare 30 year old Single cask Scotch worth over $1000! With guidance from Bar Owner and Melbourne Royal Australian International Spirits Awards judge Julian White, we'll break down what happens to a whisky over 30 years in wood and also the aroma and flavour of youthfulness.

After a visit to Torabhaig distillery in June, we can't wait to share this stunning new whisky.

Our next tasting is in the diary - Thursday 15th of January!

Torabhaig is the newest distillery on the Isle of Skye and marks only the second commercial distillery since 1830. Skye's ancient history is what forms the mystique around the whisky which comes from there and managing to capture that in a bottle is what Torabhaig is all about. From dinosaur bones in the gift shop, restoration of the 1760's farmstead and a mission to train the next generation of Skye born whisky makers. This place, is setting itself up to be an intergenerational business that's imbedded in the fabric of the island.

We invite you to join us for a tasting of one of Scotland's most exciting new distilleries!
