Margaux is sadly saying bonne nuit to Melbourne’s Lonsdale Street. Born as a love letter to late-night dining six years ago, this beautiful basement has sparkled like a diamond in the rough, welcoming all walks to make memories over petit Martini’s and steak frites, not to mention the birthplace of Australia’s most decadent burger…
We have poured our hearts into every detail, such as the 30,000 wall tiles we laid by hand.. and are so proud of the influence that Margaux has had on this country since its inception.
We thank our team past and present for their passion and dedication to creating memorable experiences, night after night. To every guest who sank into a red leather booth or pulled up a bar stool and embraced all she had to offer. To all who knew and loved her, and everyone who made her what she was, we are eternally grateful.
May a culture of late-night dining live on in this special city.
