We now offer reservations for groups of 2-8 guests, bookings can be made through our website. Lui Bar offers spectacular views over Melbourne. With a snack menu designed by Vue de monde, and an extensive wine, Champagne, beer and spirit collection, Lui Bar is ideal for a casual pre or post-dinner tipple or for a dedicated evening of fun and frivolity all underpinned by class.

Did you know that the Japanese Slipper was created right here in Melbourne in 1984 by French bartender Jean-Paul Bourguignon at Mietta’s Restaurant ?

This Melbourne-born cocktail went on to travel the world, becoming an iconic drink of the ‘80s.

To pay homage to its Melbourne roots, we’ve added our own version to our menu .

Meet Pietro, one of the familiar faces behind the bar at Lui 🍸

Originally from Verona, Italy, Pietro’s journey took him through London and Amsterdam before landing in Melbourne, where he’s been part of the Lui Bar family for the past year.

With Italian accent and Brazilian roots, it’s no surprise his go-to cocktail is a Caipirinha.

Next time you stop by, make sure to say hello to Pietro and let him make you his favourite drink.
