For me, that’s everything. My whole approach is about making sure your people aren’t just watching something happen — they’re part of it. Feeling included, grounded, and connected to you and your celebration.

🌿✨ Intentional. Ethical. Meaningful. That’s exactly how Chris and Chelsea envisioned their wedding—and they made it happen.

Every choice reflected who they are and what they believe in: giving back, building community, and celebrating with heart. 💛

It was such a joy to be both their celebrant and MC, and to walk alongside them as they created a day that felt so true to who they are.

🐄 was where they had their first date and where Chris proposed. A not-for-profit supporting social inclusion, it couldn’t be more perfect.

Millie was fast asleep in Nanna Kath’s arms as they walked down the aisle toward Nick — her dad. Just moments later, her mum, Maddie, followed behind. Three generations, one beautiful moment. 💛⁣

⁣On this Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of all the incredible mums I’ve had the joy of marrying, the wonderful mums of the couples I marry, and the people who mother in quiet, powerful ways — even without the official title.⁣

⁣The ‘mum village’ is real — the grandmothers, aunties, sisters, friends, and chosen family who show up and love the kids (and their parents!) with their whole hearts.⁣

And so often during ceremonies, we find ways to bring mums who are no longer with us into the moment, honouring the way their love continues to shape the people they raised and everyone who knew and loved them.

On this Mother’s Day I’m thinking of all the ways we mother and are mothered, it is an infinite well of love! ❤️ .

Karla and Yanni’s ceremony was everything I love about this work — a big, beautiful conversation with all their people about how wonderful they are.

They owned their story with honesty, heart, and humour. And what I loved most is how they embraced all of it — the joyful highs and the tough chapters everyone there knew about — because it’s all of it, together, that makes their relationship what it is today.

When I write ceremonies, I really get to know my couples. I take all the good stuff — the quirks, the deep stuff, the love — and distill it down into ceremony gold. No fluff. No waffling on. Just the essence of who you are, shared in a way that makes people laugh, cry, and feel how big your love really is.

Karla and Yanni chose an Authentically You ceremony (20-30min) so they could celebrate their story! They gathered their family and friends in Brunswick on a Wednesday lunchtime for this celebration of a lifetime - there is seriously no better way to spend a Wednesday afternoon!!
