If you struggle with executive dysfunction (adhd, depression etc.) everyday tasks can feel like massive feats.

Go grocery shopping?

Right… that means:
- Get out of bed
- Shower (optional, who the heck showers when struggling with executive dysfunction?!)
- Brush hair/ teeth etc.
- Decide on clothes
- Get dressed into clothes
- Check fridge for what we already have
- Decide on what food you want
- Make a list
- Drive to the store
- Find a park in the crowded parking lot
- Go down all the aisles to get all the food
- Scan food through check out
- Pack the bags
- Back the car
- Drive back home
- Throw the mouldy food out of the fridge
- Take the bins out that are no doubt full of old food you couldn’t be bothered to cook
- Put the fresh food back in the fridge
- TAKE A GODDAMN NAP

But what if, instead of waiting till the very end to feel like a winner, you celebrated the heck out of yourself for each step.

Got out of bed? YEAH YA DID
Put on clean clothes? Might as well go out to show off what a high achiever you are!!!

Stop gate keeping feeling productive to only incredibly difficult tasks.

The more you win, the more you want to win.

2022 has been a year of integration for me (see my last post).

A year of integrating each aspect of myself and loving it whole heartedly.

So instead of separating ‘coach Milly’ and ‘dancer Milly’ and ‘dog mum Milly’ and ‘adventurer Milly’

… I’d like to say Hi 👋 and introduce myself as the whole human that I am…

💛 I love HARD - people, animals, hobbies, my work, passions. While I used to think I needed to ‘tone it down’… I now live by “If i’m too much… go find less”.

💛 I utterly adore people for being themselves. More you is always better. Be your weird ass, messy self and I’ll fall in love with you - secret shame parts and all.

💛 I love guiding women on their journey to radical self acceptance. Teaching how to befriend your brain, body and emotions. Watching as they become their own fiercest cheerleader and championing themselves.

💛 I’m a deeply feeling, sensitive soul who experiences big emotions. I used to wish I didn’t feel so deeply but now I love my emotions and see them as a gift. They are a finely tuned compass direct to my soul. They give me instant signals when something is going off course.

💛 I love challenging myself physically through things like Crossfit or marathons… but I equally blissfully love being ‘lazy’ and crave spending days snuggled up on the couch under blankets with snacks and afternoon naps.

💛 I cannot shut up about ADHD and advocating that you are NOT broken, we just need to learn to work with our brains rather than fight against them.

💛 I am at my most peaceful sitting in wide open, nature spaces and just watching the world go by. That level of peace and joy is what fuels me, not the idea of expensive cars or designer handbags.

💛 I am totally obsessed with my puppy, pole dancing, performing, all things pink and glittery and being in the water (scuba diving with sharks is incredible and sitting in a paddling pool is just as amazing!).

Thats me!

It’s a pleasure to be here, I look forward to sharing everything human in 2023 and can’t wait to get to know you deeper 💕

2022 - A year of glowing the F*** up!

For the majority of this year I have been hibernating - sick with a mystery chronic illness. It forced me to hit pause and deeply listen to and honour my body and all of its tiny, nuanced signals.

But i’m not mad about it.

This year has been a year of levelling up internally. But it looked the complete opposite from the outside.

Levelling up is often pictured as doing A LOT.

Experiencing everything, high energy, out going, doing all the things. … My experience has been quite the opposite.

Caterpillars cocoon before they emerge as butterflies and humans are quite the same.

My process has consisted of slowing the hell down & doing MUCH LESS.

Months of living in trackies and hoodies, napping, snacking, bingeing netflix, and most importantly… feeling all the feels.

and as a result… I feel powerful AF.

I feel an immutable sense of self love and rock solid sense of worth.

My intuition is at it’s most accurate and most potent - I feel a bit witchy.

I feel a deep, deep sense of joy in the smallest of moments.

… and all of the pieces of myself are integrating.

This year, I’ve done very little, and at the same time, it has been an equally huge year.

Slowing down has led to a cosmic increase in love, passion and quality of life.

When you are sick and tired, the veil is at its thinnest. If you can learn to lean in to it, magic is just around the corner 💕

You don’t have to monetise every passion you have. You are allowed to pour time, energy and love into something just because you enjoy it.

It’s not a waste of time.

I see the trend of having pressure to ‘find your purpose’ and for it to be this huge, meaningful cause that impacts the whole world … and then ‘make a career out of it!’. I can tell you one of the quickest ways to kill joy is to stack a bunch of pressure on it.

You are allowed to do things that are just. for. fun.

[Note: Your purpose does not have to be earth shatteringly amazing either. In fact, it can be selfish AF and that’s perfectly good too]

As long as your job isn’t actively stealing from your purpose and is instead supporting it in some way, you’re doing just fine and dandy.

Maybe it serves by providing the financial means to afford your passion, maybe it serves by providing the flexibility to spend your time how you want, maybe it serves by being cognitively easy so you can spend your mental energy on your creative endeavours.

Your career does not have to fulfil your life’s purpose.

Your career does not have to be the centre of your world.

Your career is not your identity.

Your job can be … just a job. 🤯

Less pressure, More pleasure✌🏼
