Here is a new orange wine by , now available by the glass, modelled (very seductively) by our own Canadian Dionysus, Eric.
The Rhapsody Amber Riesling is made with fruit from the Strathbogie Ranges, spending 30 days on skins to yield a velvety and complex orange wine. Think ripe stone fruits and dried apricot, with enough acid and texture to savour on its own, or make a damn good pair for those meals wanting something a bit more robust than an old school white wine.
Would go well with a silky curry, possibly of the thai or tandoori variety, and would also be pretty darn good with some nice cheese. Plenty of good pairing options here and just around the corner, so come give it a spin!
