After 28 years, I’ve decided to pass the baton to who I believe to be the best restaurant operators in Australia. Andrew McConnell and Jo McGann have been an absolute pleasure to deal with, and there are no better people to uphold the legacy of this iconic site.

To all my staff, I want to express my gratitude for your hard work and loyalty. I will miss each and every one of you.

To my customers, I can’t thank you enough for your unwavering support and kindness over the years.

I’m going to take some time to relax and consider my next venture, perhaps with some sand between my toes and a longboard under my feet.

It’s been an incredible journey, and I will dearly miss it.
