Trivia's on tonight from 7pm, and Thursday is honestly one of the best nights in the pub. The room fills up, every table is arguing over an answer, and someone always swears they knew it.

First prize is a $100 Tavern voucher, and there is a pattern of how our past champions spend theirs. "I'll have a parma, thanks." Fair call. Parmas are 25% off on Thursdays anyway, so you don't need to win to get one

Your local has a brewery in it. Did you know?

Those tanks behind the bar at Republic Tavern are B**r Republic. Northern Draught, L***r and Pacific Pale Ale are brewed in them, canned beside them and poured a few metres away. No trucks, no middleman, no b**r that's been sitting in a warehouse since March.

Same building as a distillery too, but that's another post.

Fresh b**r is the whole point of a brewpub. Pull up a seat and taste the difference, or take a growler or a four-pack home from the fridge.

Thursday is honestly our favourite night of the week here.

Parmas are 25% off, trivia starts at 7 with the Funky Bunch, and by half past the room is full of people who have clearly been coming for years.

If you're an Epping local and haven't done a Thursday with us yet, grab a couple of mates and come have a parma. There'll be a B**r Republic on tap waiting for you.

The long weekend starts tonight.

Clock off and come straight here. Parmas are 25% off and there's live music tonight.

Tomorrow is a public holiday and we're open all day: a long lunch, Hoppy Hour from 3 to 6pm, then more live music from 7pm.

Saturday is the big one. Freo and the Lions in the Grand Final, live and loud on every screen, B**r Republic pouring from the tanks and the fire grill going from the first bounce to the final siren.

Get here early and go into that room fed. Something off the fire grill, b**r brewed metres from your glass, tap-poured cocktails from our own distillery. Then it is a short walk to your seat for 8pm.

Stir fried hokkien noodles tossed through Asian vegetables in a sesame and teriyaki sauce, grilled lamb loin chops with fries and a leafy green salad, and a Nutella and pistachio dessert pizza with banana and vanilla ice cream.

Preliminary final weekend is on every screen at Republic Tavern & we've got $20 jugs running siren to siren!

School holidays start Saturday and kids eat free with every adult main, so bring the whole crew in their colours.

Game day specials. Doors open 10am tomorrow for Rams vs 49ers, and the kitchen has the board sorted.

Prawn and chorizo risotto with tiger prawns and a creamy prawn bisque, grilled barramundi with fries, leafy greens and charred lemon, and a roast beef sandwich stacked with horseradish mayo, Swiss cheese and pickles, fries on the side.

Kickoff 10:35am, game on, breakfast b**rs pouring from the tanks. The specials run all week, so there is no shame in coming back for round two.

Kids eat free every day of the school holidays.

The kids are alright, and so are you. With every adult main at Republic Tavern, kids under 12 eat free, lunch and dinner, from Saturday 19 September right through to Sunday 4 October.

Sixteen days of "I'm bored" is a lot. Fire-grilled food, Hoppy Hour from 3 to 6pm, footy finals on the screens and a table nobody at home has to clean up. That is a lot too.
