Game day specials. Doors open 10am tomorrow for Rams vs 49ers, and the kitchen has the board sorted.

Prawn and chorizo risotto with tiger prawns and a creamy prawn bisque, grilled barramundi with fries, leafy greens and charred lemon, and a roast beef sandwich stacked with horseradish mayo, Swiss cheese and pickles, fries on the side.

Kickoff 10:35am, game on, breakfast b**rs pouring from the tanks. The specials run all week, so there is no shame in coming back for round two.

Kids eat free every day of the school holidays.

The kids are alright, and so are you. With every adult main at Republic Tavern, kids under 12 eat free, lunch and dinner, from Saturday 19 September right through to Sunday 4 October.

Sixteen days of "I'm bored" is a lot. Fire-grilled food, Hoppy Hour from 3 to 6pm, footy finals on the screens and a table nobody at home has to clean up. That is a lot too.

FRESH MERCH HAS LANDED.

A fresh batch of B**r Republic tees and hoodies are in, modelled here by three blokes who were definitely not hired for their modelling. What they lack in runway experience they make up for in pouring you a cold one.

Now the good bit. Grab a tee or hoodie with a 4-pack or a growler fill and take 20% off the lot, right up to and including Father's Day. Dad gets a hoodie he'll live in and b**r brewed metres from where you're standing. Sorted.

Slow cooked beef ribs in a sticky yakiniku glaze, Republic's loaded fries stacked with grilled chicken, bacon and the holy trinity sauces, and a piña colada panna cotta for anyone who plans dessert first.

Someone in your office has just been put in charge of the Christmas do.

If that someone is you, our condolences. Also, hello.

We're the big one on Cooper St with the brewing tanks behind the bar. B**r brewed here, spirits distilled here, food straight off the fire, and enough room to lose an entire department in.

The Sun Room for a long lunch. The Cellar for your own corner of the bar, right next to the good bottles. The Hop Garden if December behaves itself. Trader if your team would rather sit down and be properly looked after. Or a big table in the main bar and let it turn into whatever it turns into.

Works just as well for the family, the team, or the mates you only properly catch up with in December.

Cheers Dad. This Father's Day we're cooking the way he'd want it.

Our $35 Sunday Roast is on as always, Roast Redgum Sirloin with all the trimmings, and kids eat free. On special alongside it: Stout Braised Beef Short Ribs, sharing style flat bread pizza, and double chocolate chip cookie dough. The full menu is running too.

It's also our 7th birthday, so we're marking it with takeaway can and growler specials all day. Grab Dad a fill from the fridge on the way out.

THE WORLD CUP FINAL — LIVE & LOUD ⚽🏆

Republic Tavern is opening from 4:30am this Monday, ready for the biggest match in football. Kick-off is at 5:00am.

The coffee machine will be firing, with pastries and hot toasties available for the early start.

Unfortunately no bar service for this match...until 7am which means the winners can celebrate in style!!
