Traditionally held as part of the Homowo season, Kpelejoo brings people together through powerful drumming, singing and dancing to honour ancestors, celebrate the harvest and strengthen the bonds of family and community. It is a living expression of culture that has been passed from generation to generation.

For WALA – Is Life, sharing KPELEJOO in Melbourne is deeply personal. Australia has been our home for more than 25 years, and we are honoured to bring this tradition to the city that has embraced us while staying connected to our roots in Ghana.
