We are closed today Sunday 12th for the most important reason in the world....La Familia

When we say El Toro is a family restaurant we mean it, Deb is the head chef owner Edward is the jack of all trades Amy is our cutest ever meet seat and greet 🤔er and I (Sean) owner try to not get caught slacking off.

Over the past 6 months we have achieved 3 full days off where we haven't worked on or in our business. And our children have stood by us while flourishing and nailing school and helping in the restaurant.

Now that the longest busy season in Margs is coming to an end we are making changes at El Toro. We are opening a 2nd venue and if everything goes to plan a third not too long after and to do that we need a full reset so we are off to Mexico for all of May so as I can give my family the holiday they deserve.

We will be entrusting the restaurant to our 8 core staff who feed and wait on you daily they have proven themselves time and time again and to be honest they do all the real work.

Finally, thank you for your amazing support we have broken all records this year, won multiple awards and had the joy of making so many new friends that we will have for life. Hospitality is a truly hard industry and it has the ability to pull families apart but with your support and the support of our team we have been able to achieve things we never though possible.

There are many suppliers in our region who do their best to supply us the best produce our town has ever seen. Not only for their reputation but for their restaurants, cafes, deli's etc that they supply to, too. One of these is our local vegetable supplier The Garden Basket. Literally going out of their way to make sure that the produce we receive is the best it possibly can be. Take these heirloom carrots for example, the colour, the freshness and the taste are like no carrots we've ever eaten. They're not just a carrot, an explosion of mixed flavours dependant on the colour, sweetness, bitterness & depth of rich flavour.
We have these as part of our seasonal vegetables with our famous picanha & scotch fillet. Or you can enjoy a medley of them with our side of rainbow carrots, paired with creamy carrot puree, fresh ricotta cheese, chimichurri, homemade red onion pickles & candy pistachios.
