Farmed. Because sustainable, wild caught is cost prohibitive and imported, frozen fish is out of the question for us. So, farmed is the next best thing.

Pan fried. Because you can’t go past that crispy skin.

Served w/ a simple sauce made of left over from our in-house butter making and herbs from The Falls Farm w/ a mix of anything else interesting that is coming out of their garden. This part constantly changes, with the micro seasons — with the weather. We ask the Farm to just send us what they’ve got or we take a stroll ourselves.

A reminder…
The Pub is closed tomorrow (Boxing Day), re-opening again on Friday 27th. On New Year’s Eve we are opening for Set dinner (see link/website) and throwing a House Party (free!), which means we’ll be closed on New Years Day (Wednesday 1st Jan).

Bottleshop will be open for Public Holiday hours (11am — 5pm).

We look forward to continuing your celebrations over the next few weeks and encourage you to book as these days do get hectic!

WINEY WITCHES NOVEMBER ✨ featuring incredible local growers and makers Nuova Scuola Wines is this coming Wednesday the 27th.

Based just outside of Gympie and growing less well known varieties (think ) that are more suitable for Qld conditions — varieties selected for soils, climate and overall terroir. Both qualified winemakers, Sarah and Stefano met travelling around the world, working back to back vintages, before wanting to move “closer to home” (Sarah grew up on the Sunny Coast) to grow both grapes and a family.

Always a night of connection and self-care through shared wining and dining, though to be honest, not much whining at all, this is the last Supper Club for the year in our usual format (December is likely to be more festive!)

$60pp for wine and food, of which they’re always plenty!

This weekend’s The Falls Farm KITCHEN SET.

Almond-fed pork marinated in sourdough miso. Farm Kaibroc in honey and Aleppo pepper. Grain salad w/ picked Farm veges, grapes, citrus. Oven baked beef and pork meatballs w/ tomato and mozzarella. Farm asparagus, Spanish radish and pickled daikon w/ ricotta.

Last nights storm was scarier than Halloween and we had to shut up shop early. Today, the power is out again, so our Chefs have put together a very limited menu for the rest of lunch. Legends. Beer is still cold — for now.

Bottleshop will stay open unless we otherwise advise. We’re hoping for power back on before dinner 🤞🤞

Update: sadly, we will not be serving dinner tonight 😢 the taps and fridges are getting too warm, although we do have tinnies on ice, so drop in for a beer and say hi! Bottleshop open until 8pm as usual.
