Thank you Malmsbury ❤️
After recent challenging times in negotiating our lease renewal and rental (and the outcome not being what we hoped for), we have decided to close our doors.
To say it’s been quite the journey is an understatement. In the early stages we worked hard and took the knocks that came with transforming the hotel into what it is today - a family-friendly place.
The 2 years of hell that was Covid tested our stamina and strength but the team stayed strong and, with the help of our fabulous community, we made it through.
Despite the many hardships, the one constant throughout has been the unwavering loyalty of our team and the support of our community, of which we’re truly grateful.
We’ll miss the discussions of solving the world’s problems across the bar, pulling together meal service during the numerous power blackouts, hosting important family occasions that were both happy and sad and providing a comfortable place for weary travellers to rest. In short, we’ll miss it all but, if nothing else, the last 3 and a bit years have taught us that you can’t control everything.
Our last day of service will be Sunday 7th of May.
