With the Majors Creek Hotel Woodchop less than a month away we are gathering raffle prizes for our raffle on the day. Our charity for the woodchop is the Braidwood and District Education Foundation. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please get in touch.

A big thank you to Vetro e Metallo for their very generous donation of a gift voucher. V&M are always quick to donate to our fund raising efforts and we thank them very much. If you are looking for a gift or something for yourself, you should pop into their store and have a look - there is a huge selection of jewelry and clothing - it is worth popping in to have a look!!!!

Majors Creek Pub is open today at 12pm. Looks like a fantastic day to come out for a drive and to enjoy some delicious pub food, cold beer in our park or dining room. Today we welcome the Braidwood Car Club for lunch - fingers crossed in this beautiful weather they bring out some of their cars!!!!

The Pub number for reservations or take away is 4846 1145!!!!

This afternoon we will be running our Sunday Pool Comp - names in by 3pm, first break at 3.30pm, $10 buys you in and winner takes all - a great afternoon of fun and laughter!!!!!

Our woodchop merchandise is starting to arrive - T-shirts are now for sale at the bar. This year we have gone for a steel color. Numbers are limited so don't miss out!!!!

The Majors Creek Hotel Woodchop is on Saturday 3 October 2026 (long weekend). As part of our family day, we have our woodchop charity which is the Braidwood and District Education Foundation. We raise money through our raffle on the day and meat tray raffles on Friday nights.

I'm currently looking for raffle donations for the raffle held on the day of the woodchop. Please make contact if you would like to donate a prize for our raffle.

A big thank you to a local resident who wants to remain anonymous for their donation of a $100 Majors Creek pub voucher - we thank you very much for your kind donation to our raffle!!!!!!

The Majors Creek Footy Tipping Competition has finalised and the winners and loser determined.

Coming in first is Hayden on 262 points
Second is Simone and Maddi on 256 points
Third is Kith on 252 points
Last Rowan on 202 points.

A very difficult season to try to pick the winners each so congrats to Hayden!!!!

I will leave the tipping sheet up for a week or two so everyone can check their scores if they want to.

Footy tipping will be back in 2027!!!!
