Mackay Society of Model Engineers inc. (Model Railway) Miniature trains located at Mackay's Muller park. We operate 5 inch gauge ride on mini trains. Looking for something different to do in Mackay?

Head down to Ooralea’s Muller Park (take a right at the Ooralea roundabout just past Woolworths). Bring the family and come and ride a 5 inch gauge miniature train. We are the Mackay Society of Model Engineers. We operate miniature trains on the first Sunday of every month and Wednesday of School Holidays from 10am to 2pm (except Christmas and January School Holidays). We have available for use a

large park for bringing your picnic lunches, cold drinks store for those hot days and a friendly bunch of members ready to bring some enjoyment to your day. All we ask is for a gold coin donation per ride and that all Passengers wear ENCLOSED SHOES TO RIDE. Bookings can be made for private functions for a small fee such as Birthday Parties, Christmas functions or just a get together with friends. Bookings can be made through:

Double the fun!!! 2 public runs this weekend!!!

That’s right, once a year on the mayday long weekend we invite members from other clubs who will bring new trains to our track. We open the track up on both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm (3rd and 4th of May)

We have some new offers this weekend with the club now having a card reader if you don’t have cash. We are also offering a band at a cost of only $5 that allows you unlimited rides all day. Single rides are now $2 per person per ride.

We are excited for this weekend and hoping that the community will get behind us and come and support the Miniature Train Club.

Location - Muller Park at Ooralea
Time - 10am to 2pm both Saturday and Sunday
Cost - $2/person per ride
Requirements - closed in shoes must be worn to ride

Miniature Trains this Weekend!!!!

Let’s hope for some sunshine this coming Sunday the 6th of April as we break out the Miniature Trains for another public running day starting at 10am till 2pm. We now have eftpos available for the rides. Rides will be $2 per person per ride and we will be offering a package deal for those wishing to ride all day.

Hope to see as many of you at Muller Park at Ooralea for a fun day out playing trains. 🚂
