We were so relieved when the rain stopped last Friday so we could get cracking on the farm work again with the help of our wonderful Garden+Gossip volunteers!

Jobs on the list:
Remove the Lower Field fence and net and protect the sweet peas (great job Di and Jane 👌).
Lift plants to shorten 5 beds to make way for the new polytunnel.
Collect more Dahlia seed.
Cut back and label the dahlias in the tree field.
Remove the TF annuals.

Wow! What a productive day. So much achieved thanks to our wonderful crew!

Have you met the gorgeous Dahlia ‘Kelgai Ann’ yet? What a stunning waterlily form she is! So blousy, so romantic and lots and lots of flowers all season long. So beautiful!

We have built up lots of stock of her this season too… so we can finally share her far and wide!

Happy Winter! June is our month for highlighting some of our new releases and favourite Dahlias from our 2026 field collection ahead of our upcoming online tuber pre-sale…starting off with one of our 2026 New Release Dahlias…’EF Estelle’.

EF Estelle is a big and impressive dahlia, similar in form to EF Southerden but in a lovely watermelon peach with some gold tones and an attractive dark centre! Very good strong stems. Named after our beautiful daughter Milla Estelle who is now working in our business and doing a fantastic job!

We’re getting very close to our pre-sale now with final numbers getting sorted. We’ll be sharing the exact date and time with our newsletter subscribers so head to our website or IG bio link to sign up! This will be our biggest sale yet with lots of quality tuber stock available so we are excited to share it with you!

Ordering in our pre-sale secures your favourite cultivars if you are unable to attend our big on-farm Spring Sale in mid October where we will have our full range of tubers and cuttings for sale. Note: Pre-sale orders will be posted to customers in early October, once they come out of dormancy and eyes are showing.

We can post to most Australian states with the exception of WA. Still working out details to see if it will be possible for us to send to VIC under the new bio security regulations though. Stay tuned!

Our bare-rooted peony root sale is now live on the website !!!

Now is the time to plant your peonies and the best, most affordable way to increase your peony stock is by buying bare-rooted!

We have 10 x beautiful and productive cultivars on offer - all divided from our mature and healthy 5 year old root stock. Plant them in the ground or in a large pot…. they are tough and hardy plants that will grow well in both sandy soil or clay!

Each order will also come with our top tips for planting and growing - so you can feel confident if you’ve never tried to grow a peony before.

Our fantastic team divided the last of our 5year old peonies today after a stellar push to finish them this week!

I will be loading our varieties up on the website this weekend for sale. They are lovely healthy bare-rooted sections with lots of eyes…. giving you a head start for plentiful flowers once established. Each order will come with our top tips for planting and growing fantastic peonies - a must grow flower for every cool season flower gardener.

Sorry we can’t post at this stage. Pickup is from the farm so please make sure when you order that you can collect during one of the nominated pick-up times before purchasing. Thank you!

Just the most fun and sweet way for us to celebrate Mother’s Day yesterday with the fantastic team of Tylah and Moana from hosting their ‘Floral Pottery Plates’ workshop at the farm.

Thank-you to everyone who booked and came along to our two sessions. I was so impressed at all the lovely families who came and painted together to create keepsakes to remember. So many beautiful plate designs inspired from the very last of our seasons blooms! Can’t wait to see them all fired. Will definitely give you an update when they emerge from the kiln.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day. X
