Our next gig celebrates the return of the Cole Cox Lovejoy Piano Trio. There will be jiving, head nodding and toe tapping as Fred, Ben and Hans play tunes by Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal and Wynton Kelly, as well as giving a new twist to some well known modern classics. Sunday June 7th, 2pm at the City Bowlo. $20 members, $25 non-members and as usual please bring cash.
Please support the Jazz Club for another year by renewing your membership, or consider joining if you are not currently a member. Our president Jennifer provides an update below on the Club’s circumstances.
Dear Members and friends,
The time to renew our membership is approaching, due on or before June 30th.
Being a member of Lismore Jazz Club means you can enjoy our gigs at a reduced door price, usually $5 cheaper than the advertised price. As a member you will also be entered in our member only Raffle at each gig for free.
You are also able to attend and vote at our AGM and if you want to help, you can nominate to be a member of our Committee.
Yearly membership is currently $20 if paid on or before June 30th.
After June 30th the Committee have decided to increase the membership to $25.
Our overheads have increased significantly, and we are having some difficulties covering our operating costs as well as paying bands.
With these increased costs in mind the Committee have also discussed our door prices and have decided to increase these for some of our gigs.
The price change will be advertised for each gig and will reflect the costs we need to cover in order to invite some bands to come and play for us.
Your membership renewal can be paid in person at our next gig or by direct deposit.

As a member or friend of the Lismore Jazz Club you can all also help us by bringing friends along to our gigs, and sharing our upcoming gigs within your network.
Lismore Jazz Club was formed in July 2004 to organize the 60th Australian Jazz Convention, which was hosted by Lismore City in December of the following year. Since then Lismore Jazz Club has continued promoting live jazz by staging a good mix of local and big-city performers across an eclectic mix of jazz styles.
We are proud of the broad mix of bands we have hosted at our Club and the Committee thank you for your ongoing support for the Club and our ongoing success.
