The Lewisham Tavern has been hosting live music for more than 25 years! We’re sure you all have great memories of seeing live music at the Lewi. It must have pretty awesome vibes because Jeff Lang chose it to record a live performance in 2005!

The Lewi Blues & Roots is at the heart of what the Lewisham Tavern is about, bringing community together to enjoy music and have a bevvy & some food at the same time. Family friendly, and 8 ball friendly, what’s not to like?

Hi everyone, and welcome to our official Lewi Blues & Roots page!

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who came to the first Lewi Blues & Roots last year, it was an absolute blast and you guys are awesome!

Because it was so much fun we’re doing it again! And far out it’s a big line up! Dave Wilson Band, M.T. Blues, Yesterday’s Gentleman, Miss Jones, The Blue Water Bandits. But the icing on the cake are the blues legends coming down from the north coast! Pete Cornelius and the Sheyana Band will be joining us! 7 Acts, 4 Bands! See you there!

The first Sorell Music Festival AGM and live music evening was a fantastic success, with a new committee now established and the first organising meeting scheduled for next week. We have tentatively decided on the name “South East Sounds” which will be officially discussed at the first meeting!

It was exciting to see so many passionate community members come together to discuss the vision for a future festival that celebrates our incredible local talent, showcases our region and creates a festival atmosphere right here in Sorell.

This is just the beginning, and I couldn’t be more excited about what this idea could become!
