Introducing our third feature artist!
Dread Maiden is a Newcastle-based DJ and founder of Newy Bass Crew, moving through deep jungle and drum & bass with psychedelic and dub influence alongside future garage and experimental bass. Having supported Dillinja, KOAN Sound and Teddy Killerz, and played festivals including Subsonic, Earth Frequency and Dragon Dreaming, her evolving selections explore the deeper edges of underground bass while championing stronger female representation.

They will be joined by two more feature artists, Vivaek & Dread Maiden. Supporting the night are Kymatic residents Brez, Chaisma, KJ Kinetic & Voz, guiding the room through wide-ranging selections and long-form flow, building space for movement, curiosity and connection.

Uprising is a Blue Mountains–based DJ and producer specialising in drum & bass and halftime, delivering high-energy sets driven by forward-thinking sound design and technical precision. Focused on unique sonic architecture and future-facing production, their sound represents the next wave of local bass energy emerging from the mountains.

They will be joined by two more feature artists, Vivaek & Dread Maiden. Supporting the night are Kymatic residents Brez, Chaisma, KJ Kinetic & Voz, guiding the room through wide-ranging selections and long-form flow, building space for movement, curiosity and connection.

Introducing our first feature artist!
Vivaek is a Sydney-based DJ and producer specialising in progressive psytrance, blending emotive melodies with driving basslines to shape immersive dancefloor journeys. Co-running The Caldera, he curates underground radio and events while drawing on Indian heritage and melancholic textures in his productions. Vivaek has supported Astrix, Mandragora, Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura, and performed across major Australian and New Zealand festivals, delivering refined, high-energy sets.

He will be joined by two more feature artists, Dread Maiden & Uprising, keep an eye out for their dedicated posts soon!

The countdown’s on. This Saturday, we slow it down, turn it up, and come together under the sun.

DOOF BBQ isn’t just another event: it’s a community gathering. A day for locals, artists, and friends to connect, share food, roll a few bowls, and move to the sound.

Kymatic is a not-for-profit built for the love of music, culture, and connection in the Blue Mountains.

Introducing ._.plates, Blue Mountains local and resident, known for bridging the worlds of hard-hitting techno and heavy drum & bass with precision and power.

For DOOF BBQ, he’s switching gears: bringing deep, rolling liquid DnB cuts laced with weighty undertones. Smooth up top, heavy down low. Built for heads who like their groove clean, deep, and just a little dangerous.

The rhythm of the mountains meets the pulse of the city, and Nik Kos stands right at that intersection, channeling ritual, rave, and raw groove into one seamless flow.

Raised in the Blue Mountains and now a regular sight on the stages and DJ booths of music events and festivals in Sydney and NSW, Nik Kos blurs the line between ritual and rave, bringing a primal energy to every dance floor; whether deep in the bush or under club lights. His sets move between heavy tribal and indie-tinged techno and deep, liquid drum ’n’ bass.

A regular at doofs, festivals, and underground clubs, Nik’s sound is raw, percussive, and human.
