JAG THE JOKER – LOCALS SUPPORTING LOCALS - $1500 donation to the school.

One of the things we’re most proud of at the Lake Bolac Hotel is being able to put money raised here at the pub straight back into our local community.

Our last Jag the Joker and local raffle round raised an incredible $1,500 for Lake Bolac College, helping support their students taking part in the Go Kart Marathon.

Now we’re starting the next round, and this time the money raised will stay right here at home again, supporting the Lake Bolac Speed Shear.

Funds raised will help cover the free kids’ entertainment and the volunteers’ luncheon — two important parts of making the day a genuine community event that everyone can be part of.

Country pubs have always been more than somewhere to have a drink or a meal. They’re places where people meet, fundraise, celebrate, lend a hand and help make things happen.

For us, supporting local activities, our kids, our volunteers and the development of our community is a really important part of what the Lake Bolac Hotel & Brewery is here for.

So every raffle ticket you buy and every crack you have at Jag the Joker contributes to something happening right here in Lake Bolac.

This round, we’re backing the Speed Shear — and putting it straight back into our community.

CALLING ALL FARMERS’ MARKET STALL HOLDERS!

We’re bringing a Farmers’ Market to the Lake Bolac Speed Shearing Competition, and we’d love you to be part of it.

Saturday 28 November
8.00am – 1.00pm

Whether you sell fresh produce, handmade goods, preserves, plants, flowers, artisan foods, crafts, gifts or something unique, we’d love to hear from you.

The market will run in the lead-up to the Speed Shearing Competition, bringing together locals and visitors for a great day of shopping, food, entertainment and country hospitality.

All stalls are welcome.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a much-loved member of our Lake Bolac community, Beth Cameron.

Beth was one of those people who contributed so much to our community over many years — through the Golf Club, through her volunteering, and simply through the friendships and connections she made with so many people around Lake Bolac.

Her contribution to the Lake Bolac Golf Club in particular was enormous, both on the course and behind the scenes, and she gave countless hours of her time to supporting the club and the people within it.

But above all, Beth was a much-loved mum, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her sons Dallas and Scotty, Glennis, her grandchildren, and all of Beth’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Beth will be greatly missed by many across our small community.

From all of us at the Lake Bolac Hotel & Brewery, we send our love to the Cameron family. ❤️
