In a top field of sixty five Mal Williams provided the best performance of the day which was sponsored by Jen`s Hens Mal carded 43 points seven under the card to collect the men’s B
Grade trophy. Runnerup was Mark Hendy with 36 points. David Kuiper won A Grade with 36 points while Dean Sellick on 36 points won C Grade. Runnerup was Vaughan Moss with 36 points. Faye Glover keeps on winning with 35 points in A Grade. Rhonda Cox was the B Grade winner with 41 points. Pam Spokes was runnerup with 40 points. Pauline Laidlaw was the C Grade winner with 41 points. Runnerup was Lorna Alchin on 39 points. Ball winners were Noel Boyd, Mark Percy, Bryce Fraser (Ireland), Peter Ryan, Kayne Crompton, Di Bruhn, Donna Campbell, Terry Thomson, Mareza
Bauerle, Geraldine Prendergast and Lynne McLean. Nearest the pins went to Mary Elliott on the 9th, Alan Wrest on the 18th while Mark Percy on the 1st. The 5th went to Helen Drake courtesy Awnings and Blinds and Peter Ryan was nearest on the 6th for the
voucher from Firstea cafe . Mal Williams capped off a good day by having a birdie on the 16th collecting the spoils courtesy of INTERSPORT Bennett's.
Forty-five golfers took to the course for Wednesday’s Men’s Stroke event, and there was plenty of excitement as players battled it out across the grades. Sam Attardi produced a round of 71 off the stick, net 58 to take the honours in A Grade. B Grade went to Steve
Piggott 67 gross, net 52. Runnerup was Phil Tucker on 68-14-54. Peter Ryan matched the low nett score of the day with 72 gross, net 52 to claim C Grade. Runnerup was Richard Stockdale on 76-21-55. Third was Ken Wildes with 75-18-57. Ball winners were Mark
Percy, Mick Sullivan, Mark Hendy, Mal Baker , Doug Cox, Vin Sleeth, Vaughan Moss and Bryce Fraser. Nearest the pins went to Sam Skilling on the 6th for the voucher from Firstea Café.
Mark Hendy was closest on the 18th for the voucher from Brett Cox Electrical. Mark Percy was closest on the Clive Coventry Funerals 15th, while Cam Willis on the 9th for the voucher
from Ky Pizza and Pasta. Vin Sleeth was on 1st while Bob Troy on the Ray’s Pond 14th.

Sunday was R U O K day with a good field. Fay Glover again was a winner for the women with 36 points. Runnerup was Geraldine Prendergast with 35 points. Mick Crompton with
41 points won the men’s section while Geoff Berry was second with 35 points. James Barker won the Calloway section with 36 points. Amanda Barker with 32 points was second.
Nearest the pins went to Naomi Cartwright on the 9th ,Vaughan Moss on the 18th and Adrian Besim on the 1st. Second shot on the 11th went to Jacob Cartwright for the men

PARKLAND WOMEN;

We thank Secretly Scrumptious! for their generous sponsorship for the Stroke event held on Tuesday 8th September where a field of 34 women participated.

It was a top performance by Denise Hee who with a result of 66-17-49 nett took out the top honours in A Grade, next was Heather Gunstone as runner up with 73-17-56 nett.

In B Grade it was the effort of Veronica Ryan that produced a win with her score of 73-23-50 nett closely followed by Wendy Fulton who finished with 76-25-51 nett to be named runner up.
Jenny Cheong-Backway who continues to show improvement came in with the best nett score of the day to win C Grade with 84-42-42 nett and shouldn’t be surprised if there is another deduction in her handicap next game. Kyra Clarke was the runner up in C Grade with 86-31-55 nett.
Ball recipients were Kathy Risstrom 54, Mary Elliott 54, Mareza Bauerle 56 and Lyn Bailey 56.
Nearest the pin on the ninth was won by Chris Kelly while Heather Gunstone claimed the Jackpot for nearest on the 18th with her second shot and Wendy Fulton took home the Firstea Voucher for nearest on the sixth.
The least number of putts sponsored by Bakers Delight were also counted in the competition and was won by Denise Hee with 26 putts.

Saturday’s stableford event at Parkland was supported by the Shaw Family in memory of David Shaw whom passed away three years ago.The inclement weather sometimes intervened however those
whom played were treated to a special afternoon tea after the game.Faye Roberts back from holidays
won the women’s A Grade with 37 points.B Grade went to Lyn Berry with 34 points with the round of the day going to Donna Campbell with 39 points for C Grade. David Kuiper has a strangle hold on
winning each week and this week David carded 32 points to win the men’s A Grade.B Grade was won by Sean Bassett with 37 points.Runnerup was Mal Williams with 36 points.Bob Smith won C Grade with 34 points.Ball winners were Terrie Giffin,Pam Spokes,Ken Campbell,Mick Crompton,Steve Piggott and Mark Percy. Nearest the pins went to Cameron Willis on the 9th, Brendan Lewis on the 18th and the 6th for the voucher from Firstea Café.Steve Piggott was on the 1st. Rosemary Britton was closest on the 5th
courtesy of NuShade Blinds & Awnings.Thursday a stableford event was played with Veronica Ryan winning the women’s event with 40 points after a countback from Trudie Plumb and Mary Elliott in that order. David Kuiper won the men’s A Grade with 34 points. B Grade went to Vin Sleeth with 34 points.
C Grade was won by Jim Miller on 38 points.Runnerup was Mel Lusher with 37 points.Ball winners were Ray Falla,Cam Willis,Justin Barnett,Richard Myers and Jenny Cheong- Backway. Nearest the pins went to Geoff Berry 14th and18th, Paul Price 15th and 9th. Denise Hee was on the Firstea Café 6th. Veronica
Ryan was on the 1st. Thelma Wootton-Jones was on the 14th.

BINGO: This Thursday the Jackpot will be $800 in 54 calla : The Star Flyer will be $3350.
