💛 A Bittersweet Goodbye and a New Chapter 💛
This is a post I never quite knew how to write, because how do you put years of memories, hard work, laughter, tears and so many amazing people into just a few words?
By the end of September, Kernot Store will be under new management. Don't Stress nothing is changing , all the wonderful faces you know and place enjoy is all the same, but I cant wait to introduce Leena.
For me, it is now time to step into my next chapter, parenthood, and enjoy the precious time ahead as a new mother. While saying goodbye to the store will be incredibly bittersweet, I know it is time for me to enjoy this adventure.
When I look back at how far Kernot Store has come, I honestly could go on forever about the people who have helped get us here. The blood, sweat and tears that have been poured into this place are hard to put into words. It has taken an army, and I have been lucky enough to have one behind me.
To Mitchell, Leanne, Paul, Deb and Lorraine, Jacqui and so many more to name , my very own Kernot Army, thank you will never feel like enough. You have stood beside me through the long days, late nights, stressful moments, busy services and everything in between. Kernot Store would not be where it is today without you.
And then there are all the incredible staff, both past and present, front and center and behind the scenes who have been part of this journey. Every person has played a part, and I will forever be grateful for the time, effort, laughter and hard work you have given this little store.
To our wonderful locals, farmers, regulars, families , bands and suppliers, thank you. Over the years we have formed friendships and bonds that go far beyond business. You have supported us, encouraged us, laughed with us and continued to walk through our doors week after week. You have helped make Kernot Store feel like so much more than just a place to eat and drink.
And while I'm not quite ready to say goodbye just yet, we have two week to go, and I want to make the most of every single Day.
SUNDAY 6th Fathers Day
WEDNESDAY 9th Morgans last Parma night
SATURDAY 12th Bottomless Pizza & Cocktail Night.
SUNDAY 13th live music 12-3pm
And if you know me, you know I'm not doing a quiet goodbye. This will be my go hard or go home week! So please join me for one of the last big celebrations, with great food, plenty of laughs, good company and hopefully a send off like no other.
I would absolutely love to see as many familiar faces as possible over this final week. Come in for a meal, share a drink, have a laugh and help us make these last week at Kernot Store one I will never forget.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey. There are too many people to name and too many memories to mention, but please know that every bit of support has meant more to me than you will ever realise.
This little store has been a huge part of my life, and while it is time for me to hand over the reins and begin my next chapter, I will always be incredibly proud of what we have built together.
We've still got a few weeks left, plenty of food to eat, drinks to share, laughs to have and memories to make.
Let's make them count. ❤️
