WHO EVEN IS THE MACLEAY VALLEY BUSINESS CHAMBER?

Read full article here - https://macleayvalleyhub.com.au/who-even-is-the-macleay-valley-business-chamber/

It's a fair question. But the answer might surprise you.

Behind the Chamber are local business owners, professionals, parents and community members who are already juggling their own businesses, work and family commitments.

Yet they still put their hands up to help our region.

They're the people helping create opportunities, organising events, connecting businesses and advocating for issues that affect the Macleay Valley.

And here's the thing...

Being a volunteer doesn't mean everything will always go perfectly. There will be differing opinions, difficult decisions and sometimes criticism.

But behind it all are real people giving their time because they care.

So today, we're putting the spotlight on the people who are usually working behind the scenes.

To the Macleay Valley Business Chamber volunteers, thank you for everything you do for our community.

Swipe through to see the people and the work behind the name.

Have you heard of Walking Football?

It might be played at a walking pace, but this growing sport is creating some pretty exciting opportunities for people right here in the Macleay Valley.

Six Crescent Head Walking Football players have recently represented NSW, showing just how far a social game in our little part of the world can take you.

Our latest article takes a look at what Walking Football is, why it’s growing across Australia, the opportunities to compete and represent at higher levels, and the local Crescent Head Stingrays Monday night social games.

And the best part? You don’t need to be an experienced footballer to get involved.

Thinking you might like to give it a go? Click the link in our bio to read the full story — we’ve also included information on how you can join the local Walking Football community.

And a huge congratulations to our six local NSW representatives — Pelay Ingles, Patricia Silk, Chrystal Collings, Diane Smith, Fiona Stuart and Steve Ravoul.
