If the last few Oktoberfests are anything to go by, some of you had an 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽... and we absolutely love it 😂

“What are all those numbers behind the bar?” 🤔

We get asked this all the time - and it’s a story we love telling.

They’re service numbers, left by people who’ve served in the military and found their way to Finlay’s over the years.

The tradition is almost as old as Finlay’s itself. No one quite knows who started it, but anyone who has served is welcome to add theirs - and we’ll shout them a schooner as a small thank you. 🍺

And as you can see, we’re quickly running out of wall! We reckon that’s pretty special. Every number belongs to someone, and every one has a story behind it.

If you’ve served and yours isn’t up there yet, ask us for a marker next time you’re in. We’d love to have yours among them.

It’s such a beautiful time of year to be in Kalbarri, and with the school holidays coming up at the end of the month, things will soon start getting busy around town.
