Hi all, yesterday I finished this mural on a water tank in Bayles, Vic.
Last year I painted the reverse side of this tank and the Bayles community asked me to return and paint the remaining part of the tank.
This time my brief was to create a country scene with some Friesian cows, asparagus farming and some local wildlife.

Kyabram Water Tank Art
The Kyabram Water Tank Art was painted by
Jimmy DVate in March 2021.
The water tank mural highlights the
wetlands at the Kyabram Fauna Park, a
crucial tourism and environmental feature
of Kyabram.
An Eastern Long-Neck Turtle, a Golden
Whistler and a Red-Capped Robin have
been brought to life on the side of the tank.
Also featured are other birds, animals and
insects which include a Yellow Crimson
Rosella, a Major-Mitchell’s Cockatoo, a
Plains-Wanderer, a Spotted-Tail Quoll, a
Blue Skimmer Dragon Fly, a Brolga and my
favourite a Bush Stone-Curlew.
The tank is fully fenced and in some
places is difficult to photograph, there is a
designated viewing area and no drones are
allowed at this site. It’s an easy walk around
the tank to view the beautiful art.

There is water over the Western Hwy between Dadswells bridge and Deep Lead.
Vicroads have reduced speed to 40 through affected area.
There will be more roads affected in the coming days so please plan or delay your trip.
