Rektango This is Rektango. Or, rather, this is a page for what is now known as The Rektango Courtyard. It's a Hobart institution.

Hobart's funkiest and cruisiest start to the end of the week is on every Friday from 6pm to 7:30pm. It's also probably the coolest hour and a half that you'll spend all week. Situated in the historic Salamanca Arts Centre Courtyard in Salamanca, with a rotation of eklectic and groove driven bands entertaining a melting pot of hippies, suits and everything in between, it's not a place you'll only go to once. It seems we're having a short burst of summer before it gets cold again - we'll see how long it lasts.

Here's what the balmy evening and Studley Moore brought us last week, hoping for more of the same this Friday when the Vest Friends hit the stage.

Well I don't know folks, one week its icy and ready for mulled wine, now this week its 26 degrees and a cold beer seems more appropriate.

One constant at least, is the fabulous fun Studley Moore bring to the Courtyard.

They're back tomorrow !

Wet, windy and cold is how it’s looking tonight folks, and the radar looks like it’s gonna keep coming through so this evening’s Courtyard (April 10) is cancelled I’m afraid.

Stay warm and we’ll see you next week for The Stitch who are doing a mini tour of Tas.

If it’s cold again next week we’ll bring out the hot drinks and heaters !

Well folks, nobody can afford to drive anywhere for a holiday this Easter, so we're staying put.

Why not join us down at your favourite courtyard this Good Friday with the fabulous Black Swans of Trespass !

As always - free entry, great live music, lovely people and reasonably priced bevs. It'll be the last one before we bid farewell to daylight savings and begin lighting up the cliff face for A/W season.

The next 6 weeks of bands will be up on Tasguide in a jiffy.
