If you’re still looking for an excuse to escape town, hit the road and spend a few days in one of Australia’s most historic villages, we’ve got your weekend sorted.

Friday & Saturday: 11am until midnight
Sunday: 11am until 10pm

🍴 Lunch: 11am until 2pm

In the heart of an old NSW gold town, the Hill End Micro Pub was born. A place to gather, share stories and raise a glass.

What began as a spark of inspiration for our family has become a warm, welcoming haven for locals, travellers and anyone chasing a taste of small-town charm.

Set inside a lovingly restored gold-rush building, the Micro Pub blends old-world character with relaxed, modern country hospitality. Think boutique, comfy rooms upstairs; honest food, great local wine and craft beer downstairs; and the kind of Hill End welcome that makes you feel like you’ve always belonged here.

Inspired by a love of good company, local flavour and the grit of this remarkable village, every pour honours the spirit of Hill End and the people who make it shine.

But the story is about more than food and drinks. We're passionate about creating opportunities in our tiny village. Training young people, supporting emerging hospitality professionals, welcoming experienced crew back into the industry and building a workplace that feels more like family than a roster. Our team is the heart of everything we do, and we're incredibly proud of the people helping shape the next chapter of Hill End.

Proudly created by Hill End Experience Co, the local family venture of Cara and Casey and their twin boys, Archer and Ethan, seventh-generation Hill Endians, the Micro Pub is our way of breathing new life into one of the town's most iconic heritage spaces while helping create a vibrant future for the community we call home.

We're here to honour Hill End's past, celebrate its present and play a small part in shaping its future.

While we can't confirm King Charles will be joining us in Hill End this weekend (we're still waiting on his RSVP), a long weekend is the perfect excuse to gather your mates, raise a glass and enjoy a country escape.

WHEN A 4X4 ADVENTURE ROLLS INTO HILL END...

Despite the rain, the mud and a distinctly wintery Hill End welcome, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting none other than Pat Callinan and the crew from Pat Callinan's 4x4 Adventures today.

After tackling the iconic Bridle Track, the team rolled into town, parked the rig out front, warmed up by the firepit, enjoyed a hearty meal, sampled a few local brews and soaked up a little of the history and hospitality that makes Hill End such a special place.

The highlight? Pat officially added his name to our Door of Fame alongside a growing collection of well known visitors, storytellers and characters who've passed through our little corner of the world.

His message?

*"Keep the shiny side up!"*

A huge thank you to Pat and the crew for stopping by and for the shout-out. We can't wait to see the finished episode and watch the Hill End Micro Pub and Bridle Track feature on screens around Australia.

If you've never driven the Bridle Track from Bathurst to Hill End, consider this your sign. It's one of NSW's great 4WD adventures, and at the end of it you'll find cold beers, warm fires, good food, friendly faces and a pub that's always got a story to tell.

Join us inside where it's warm and cosy for live music with the fabulous Karl-Christoph, 4pm until 7pm.

🔥 As the temperature drops, we'll have the firepits crackling in the beer garden, the heaters on inside, cold beers pouring, local wines and cockails flowing, coffee and hot chocolate to warm your heart and plenty of laughs to go around.

Not sure the Blues fully showed up until the last 15–20 😅 …but when they did, they really did.

Meanwhile at the Hill End Micro Pub it was true mate against mate. Local rivalries and plenty of expletives 👀🍻 Safe to say things got loud.

HELP WANTED: OUR LITTLE PUB IS GROWING

This tiny pub in our tiny historic village has become one very busy place indeed 😅

Between pouring beers, serving coffees, cooking meals, hosting events, live music, welcoming guests and helping bring Hill End to life… we've realised something:

We need more legends.

As demand grows and we work toward extending our opening hours and expanding what the Hill End Micro Pub offers, we're looking for additional casual crew to join our team.

The Hill End Micro Pub is more than a pub. It's a place where locals and visitors connect over food, drinks, music and good times. We’re passionate about fabulous service, authentic quality experiences and creating something special for our community and visitors.

We're looking for:

✔ Hospitality experience in busy environments
✔ RSA essential
✔ Food handling certificate preferred
✔ Bar staff, food prep, support crew, customer service legends and baristas (a combo of each preferred)
✔ Team players willing to jump in wherever needed

Around here, everyone rolls up their sleeves. One minute you might be pouring beers, the next making coffees, taking the bin out or helping service run smoothly. Small team mentality is a must ❤️
