Monty brewing Company is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about cooking and thrives in a fast-paced environment where strong communication skills with staff and management.
Options of Casual or Part time position 20-35 hrs that can lead into a Permanent position full time 38 hours over 5 days must be able to work weekends.
Main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Preparation, cooking and delivery of the restaurant's daily menu and function catering menu in an efficient timely manner.
• Maintaining service levels and delivering excellent quality food.
• Opening and/or closing kitchen facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety, licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
• Follow direction given from kitchen hierarchy
All relevant trade qualifications and Food Safety Certificates will be required.
Please note, due to limited resources only successful candidates will be shortlisted and contacted regarding an interview and trial date. Additionally, we will collect a number of applicants before shortlisting is completed, this process can take up to 4 weeks, from your application submission.

Our story

Why the name Monty, you ask? One day, when checking on the brewery I noticed that a roof tile had come away, but didn't think much of it. Several minutes passed when I heard a strange noise, to look up and see that a massive carpet python (around 10 cm in diameter) was making its way out of the roof. The brewery then had to be moved to a more secure location. I couldn’t name a python anything but Monty, and so the name stuck.

After several years of brewing for our own enjoyment (and hip pocket), we developed a taste for craft beer, and the skill and passion soon followed. After entering and winning in the Queensland and Australian Amateur Brewing Championships over a few years, we soon realised our future was in brewing. We have since developed an all-electric brewery, and the software programme to run it.

We purchased a beautiful property in Highfields with the plans currently underway to set up a craft brewery within a hotel. The anticipated opening is the end of 2019. In addition, we are running a boutique brewery, only producing VERY limited batches of around a hundred 500ml cans per batch. At this stage, they are only available to be purchased from our brewery by appointment only. We are open to any feedback and suggestions that may make Monty the best produced craft beer and cider.

Monty Brewing Co. is more than just an independent brewing company. We are a family-owned and run business with a passion for our craft. You can expect the best quality beer and cider, completely handcrafted from growing the hops to labeling the cans.
