Our Story

Fairways Tavern recently changed ownership towards the end of 2019. Over the past 25 years the establishment grew from a hay shed to what it is today, we hope to continue the same warm, rustic environment developed by the previous owners. In December 2019 the Golf Course was permanently closed. At present Jamie and Rob Bichel, long standing members of our wonderful community have taken over managing the Tavern. Jamie has worked at the Tavern for the past 10 years and excited in this new role, Jamie is still going to try and be the Dance mum who attends as many dance events with her daughter as she can and Rob is still the same fella who has spent up to 25 years coaching junior and senior rugby league in Laidley and Gatton. Jamie and Rob are loving seeing lots of familiar and new faces coming into the Tavern too experience what the Tavern has to offer.
