Nestled amongst the Grampians Ranges, The Kookaburra Hotel has been a long-standing favourite for generations of locals and an abundance of visitors alike. Transformed into a modern pub in 2014, the Kookaburra boasts a friendly inviting ambiance, teamed with the kitchen crew creating a harmonious menu of modern bistro dishes and some good old pub classics as well. We continue the Kookaburra adventure with a nice little nod to the previous owners, with some “Kooka Classics” rotating on the menu too. Open Wednesday to Sunday - bar open from 3pm, dinner from 5pm with last meal orders at 8.30. Open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from midday to 8pm.

Grape Expectations!

The winning beer from Margaret Rivers 2026 Great Aussie Homebrew Comp, held earlier this year. Originally created by homebrewer Rob King, this Pastry Sour has made the leap from garage to brewery & theyre stoked to finally share it with you.

THE BEER: A 6.5% lactose-infused pastry sour. Bursting with papaya, passionfruit and lemon sherbet, it pairs vibrant tropical fruit with aromas of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Passion Pop. A creamy medium body and gentle acidity create a refreshing finish with virtually no bitterness.

The comp is held in collaboration with Phat Brew Club and Campus Brewing! And supported by many great sponsors

The only Pub in Victoria with a Keg so get in and try it out before it disappears!

Lets send out the winter glow festival, that has had our town thriving throughout the winter months and welcome a bit of spring glow back in our lives 😂 🌞
We will also find out who won the footy tipping competition 🥁 🥁 🥁

And as always, proceeds from the raffle got to our amazinging volunteers at the Grampians Flora Botanic Garden Halls Gap Community Garden 🪏 🪴

Lots to celebrate, so we felt the need to double up the prize pool of the raffle! 🍀 🎟️
