🍻 A quick heads up for opening weekend! 🍻

We’re just as excited as you are to be back… but to keep things running nice and smooth for our first few days, we wanted to let you know:

👉 We’re not quite at full seating capacity just yet as restoration works will continue

👉 The beer garden will be open with temporary tables and chairs set up so there’s still plenty of room to enjoy a drink in the fresh air 🌿

With the long weekend kicking off, we’re expecting a big turnout — so we kindly suggest planning your visit across the weekend to avoid the rush on day one.

Good news is…
⏰ We’re back to normal trading hours
7 days a week from 10AM

So whether it’s Friday, Saturday, Sunday or even a sneaky Monday session — there’ll be plenty of time to drop in for that long-awaited first drink 🍺

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we ease back into things — and we can’t wait to welcome you all back through the doors ❤️

🚪✨ 10AM FRIDAY WE’RE BACK, BABY! ✨🍻

After 4 months of dust, drills, and jackhammers… we’re finally throwing the doors open again this Friday at 10AM!

First up — a massive THANK YOU to the legends of this community ❤️
You’ve popped in, checked on progress, and backed us every step of the way. We’ve felt the love and cant wait to give it back 🍺

And we couldn’t have done it without our incredible builder Glenn Sexton and all the trades involved — you’ve gone above and beyond to bring this place back to life.
A massive thank you from the Halifax Hotel Team 👏

Now… about those recent “delays”… 😅
Let’s just say the new beer taps demanded their final tune-in — with a freshly fitted condenser, a brand new coldroom, and custom-built racks to fit even MORE drinks (priorities, right?).
We’ve also powered things up with upgrades to the main switch board, new appliances, air con tweaks, and we’re finishing off hot water upgrades Wednesday morning before giving the place one last sparkle ✨

And just in time…
🚐 Friday 1st May = long weekend mode ON
We’re welcoming 5 caravans into the campstay out back — so it’s shaping up to be a big one!

⚠️ Keep in mind — this is just Stage 1…Just the Public Bar and Bottleshop.
There’s more to come, more to reveal, and more reasons to keep coming back 👀

🚨 Little Update from the Halifax Crew 🚨

We’ve seen a few dates floating around about our reopening… and let’s just say 👀 not all of them are coming from us!

As we mentioned before — when you see the chairs out, the tables set up on the veranda, and the signage shining bright… that’s your sign we’re ready to welcome you back.

Right now, we’re this close 🤏 to opening the doors — but we’re holding off just a little longer to make sure everything is running perfectly. No half-pours or hiccups on our watch!

We’re still waiting on: 🍺 A compressor for the shiny new beer system
🎯 Keno terminals
🏇 TAB setup

Trust us — it’ll be worth the wait.

Full swing and staff fully trained by May Day Weekend!
Cold beers flowing, good vibes going, and the bottleshop ready for takeaway.

There’s plenty to look forward to at the Halifax Hotel, with a range of returning and new additions of upgrades on the way.

Stage 1
Our public bar and bottleshop will reopen, along with the return of Keno and TAB facilities.

Stage 2
We’ll introduce renovated spaces, including a pool and darts room with free to play — perfect for competitions and tournaments. Meal deals and pizza specials will also be available once the kitchen and dining areas reopen.

Stage 3
Renovated accommodation and upgraded room facilities.

Stage 4
The pool area will reopen, and a brand new playground will be installed for families to enjoy. (The pool will remain closed until this stage — thank you for your understanding.)

Across the venue, we’re also rolling out some major upgrades. Crowd DJ will give you control of the music through a digital jukebox, backed by a brand-new sound system throughout the venue — from pub classics in the bar to easy listening in the dining areas.

In the public bar, a new 100” sports screen will show all NRL, AFL and major events live and free.

As we are still working through our insurance claim following the 2025 weather event, we are continuing to work diligently toward a fair settlement on the hotels claim.

Big things are coming to the Halifax — we can’t wait to share it with you.
