This Sunday, 2 August, we're excited to welcome Sholto Broderick from Basket Range Wines for the first event in our Winemaker Spotlight series at Adelaide Hills Wine Bar.
Basket Range Wines is a family owned vineyard and winery in the Adelaide Hills, now led by second generation winemaker Sholto Broderick. The vineyard is home to some of the region's original plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, while also producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Every wine is made on the property where Sholto grew up, with a focus on expressing the character of the vineyard through thoughtful, hands on winemaking.
From 1pm to 4pm, Sholto will be at the wine bar pouring four of his wines and sharing the stories behind each one. It's a great opportunity to meet the winemaker, learn more about the vineyard, and taste a range of exceptional Adelaide Hills wines.
A $15 tasting includes generous pours of all four wines, with your favourites available to purchase by the glass or bottle afterwards.
Walk ins are welcome, however bookings are recommended as places are limited and we want everyone to enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace.
After your tasting, settle in for the afternoon with live music from one of our favourite local artists, Bill Meegan, who will be performing throughout the event.
