• STEEL CUTTERS COTTAGE RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED •
To our customers, winemakers and suppliers.
We thank you for your support of our business over the past 3 years.
It’s been an interesting journey indeed and for those who have shared the journey with us you will remember how we started with Shiraz Sunday’s in the Marquee whilst The Tasting Room dragged through red tape & permitting and finally opening The Tasting Room in November 2016.
For a pair of self-schooled chefs, we’re pretty proud of what we’ve achieved during our time at Steel Cutters Cottage. We are most humbled by our guests who have taken the time to write 5-star reviews across Trip Advisor, Facebook & Google. 2017 was a big year where we were finalists in several categories of the Golden Plate Awards and the pinnacle of winning the Neoen Grampians Pyrenees Business Awards for Excellence in Hospitality, Food and Beverage.
Most poignantly, the Beefsteak & Burgundy Club’s December dinner served at Best’s Wines on Saturday 7th December was “The Last Supper”, although they didn’t know it at the time!
And our final service is a private lunch for our lovely French Group on Tuesday 10th December where we bid a final au revoir as owners, chef’s and hosts of The Tasting Room at Steel Cutters Cottage!
For us now it’s time to rest over Christmas and New Year and spend some time planning our journey to France!
May your holiday season be restful and enjoyable, spent sharing beautiful food & wine with family and good friends. We hope 2020 will bring you closer to your dreams!
Sincerely
Rohan & Marlene
