The Goolwa Aquatic Club will host its annual Aquafest on the 11th and 12th of April. This two-day event celebrates speedboat racing reminiscent of a bygone era at Goolwa, featuring an impressive range of vessels from classic wooden boats to contemporary high-performance machines, both displayed and in action throughout the weekend.
Saturday’s activities commence at 11:00 am with demonstrations of blown alcohol displacement and specialised boats. Ski racing exhibitions and heats involving similar types of boats will take place throughout the afternoon.
On Sunday, events begin at 10:00 am with a series of heats, followed by further demonstration runs and additional heats into the afternoon. The adjacent lawn area will feature a display of nostalgic cars presented by the Coffee & Chrome Car Club.
Food and coffee vendors will be available throughout the event, and the Goolwa Aquatic Club Bar will be open for attendees to enjoy as they observe the festivities.
