is HIRING a Venue Manager & a Casual Bartender 

35–40 hours weekly 
Suga is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to take the reins of our speakeasy-style rum and cocktail bar in Palm Beach. 
This is a hands-on management role for someone who wants genuine autonomy and creative control over a venue. Co-ordination with owners allows responsibility for the day-to-day operation and overall direction of the venue.

THE ROLE

You’ll oversee:
Day-to-day venue and bar operations
Staff hiring, training, management and rostering
Stock ordering, stocktakes and inventory control
Cash handling and end-of-night reconciliation
Live music and musician rostering/co-ordination 
Social media and venue marketing 
Service standards and customer experience
Industry standard compliance 
General venue maintenance
Driving the overall atmosphere, culture and direction of Suga

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Venue/Bar Manager role
Strong cocktail and bar knowledge
Proven team leadership and staff management skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills
The ability to work autonomously and make decisions
A genuine passion for hospitality, cocktails and live music
RMLV preferred
A hands-on attitude — this is a role where you lead from the front

WHY SUGA?

35–40 hours across a Friday–Sunday trading venue, giving you the opportunity to earn Venue Manager-level hours while only having three nights of trade.You’ll have real creative freedom and autonomy to shape the venue, its team, events, cocktails, entertainment and overall experience.
