A short thankyou to all my friends, followers, foes and my Team :)
With that ill do a quick recap of what was a pretty epic weekend for the brand ! and i couldnt be more prouder of those that made it happen ! (in no order)
First off we had Joshua Hands up here in Qld, winning the annual CvC Open Men's singles on Friday night, its always a hard little opener to the carnival with some very distinguished players on the list of Champions beforehand :)
His team went on to be runners up, but i might be a bit biased with the Gold Coast taking that out ;) haha so well done mate !!
Friday also saw 2 of our heavyweights battle it out in a money match opener before the Darwin Open, with Trai "Chanpion" Chan calling out the big boss and Australia's current no1 ranked player, in Andy Barnett !
Went down to the wire with Barney just getting the nod 11-9 !!
When the top dog came to town he didnt just bark behind the fence, like most do, saying they can take him, he put his money where his mouth is and called him out to get it on !!
All props to Trai there !!
Pipped on the hill in the Semis of the main draw, we would have seen an all Firing Line final where he would have met Barney for round 2 !!
Some big white stuff down in Canberra, saw Lyndall Vine competing in the Australian Womens Heyball and also 8-Ball comps !!
Just falling short in the Heyball Final to Jessica Woods, another friend of the brand who uses our Carbon Break setup, Lyndall was so close to sealing that title !!
Then onto the 8-Ball, where she was edged out in the Quarters to the eventual winner Lilly Meldrum who happened to take out Australia's no1 Women's player in Bean in the final, just a 732 fargo player :/ yikes !!
Lyndall will now regroup and pick up the small white for some upcoming fixtures including the Ladies Big Guns in a few weeks so all the best there Lyndall :) :)
Then on to our BarneyBoi, Andy Barnett !! Yeww !! Darwin open winner and as above getting the nod over the young guard on the Friday night !
Playing flawlessly all weekend and only finding strength later in the tournament, it truly is a pleasure to see Barney in full flight and game mode !!
With Barney only picking up his new Break Cue setup recently, its already looks highly tuned in, even if he does cut break with it :D :D
Top shelf my man and congrats again :)
So thanks again, and with a relocation and regroup over the next few weeks, later this year may see some big things come to fruition, so keep an eye on the page ;)
