( friday arvo is not an open mic BUT... the open mic for under 20 yo is coming very soon ! ))
we're kicking off with 5 dollar beer or wine at 3 in the arvo, followed by the muso's coming in and do sound check etc. you never know who shows up and always interesting musicians to chat with !

Expressions of Interest: Host for "Under 20-ish" Open Mic Night

We are looking for expressions of interest for enthusiastic musicians to host our "Under 20-ish" Open Mic. We would like to give young, talented, and upcoming musicians the amazing opportunity to play on a professional stage here at Alfresco’s

What we are looking for:

Musical Back-up: Ideally, you can both play and sing to support and back up the youngsters on stage.

Experience with an Allen & Heath mix wizard 4: you’ll need to have at least a basic understanding of the mixer.

Energy & Connection: You need to be enthusiastic and have a genuine ability to connect with the young performers.

Commitment & Rotation: The event runs once every 4 to 5 weeks on a Saturday afternoon/evening. We would like to have at least 2, preferably 3 hosts so you can rotate the open mic’s. so basically you host once in every 2 or 3 months.

The Setup:
You won't need to haul heavy gear. We have a full backline already set up and ready to go, including a mixer, drums, stage lights, and guitar and bass amplifiers.

Remuneration;
50 dollar plus a burger and a drink to start with as we already invested a lot of money in building the stage and supporting live music.
