We're bringing film trivia to Southside! Do you know your Scorsese from your Shyamalan? Have you mastered the MCU? Spend more time at the cinema than you do with your own family? Flex your knowledge at Southside Film Trivia, our new casual mid-week trivia night designed for seasoned cinephiles and casual cinemagoers alike.

Host Tansy Gardam brings film trivia to Southside on the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm, kicking things off next Wednesday 18 March. Tickets are $10 per team of 4 (1 ticket = 1 whole team) and Classic Southside's fully stocked bar will be open all night for post-round pickups, with free popcorn for your table.

This Saturday night, the Little Bourke "Big" Band bring the the suave style and cinematic swagger of the iconic James Bond franchise to the Southside stage. With vocals by Ben McGill, this dynamic 9-piece ensemble invites you to step into a world of spies and intrigue, as they reimagine the classic Bond themes through slick ‘mini big-band’ arrangements tailored for an intimate jazz club setting.

It’s everything you’d expect from 007 – shaken, stirred, and played live for one night only, as Classic Southside transforms into the classiest MI6-approved hideout in Melbourne. Saturday 18 October, 8pm.

Next Saturday night, the Little Bourke "Big" Band will kick off their A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES residency, bringing movie magic to life with the music of LA LA LAND (2016).

This dynamic 9-piece ensemble invites you to join them on a cinematic journey, reimagining Justin Hurwitz’s Oscar-winning score through their own ‘mini big-band’ arrangements which have been tailored for an intimate jazz club setting. With lush horn textures, infectious rhythms, and vocals from Rhea John, you'll feel as though you've stepped straight into a scene of the film itself.
