During this year's festival, the Star Cinema has welcomed those interested in history, cinema, wine, heritage architecture and hidden spaces to come along on a Friday evening between 5pm and 7pm to The Chambers Wine Bar (stair access only).

Our special guest for the final event this Friday May 16 is Simone Ewenson, Heritage Collections Officer for the City of Greater Bendigo. Simone will be available to answer your questions and provide background to and stories of this unique space.

Our special guest for this Friday May 25 is Willi Carney: First woman Mayor 1986-7 and again in 1991-1992. The Borough Council was a fantastic Council and she was very proud to have been part of it.

Our special guest for this Friday April 18 is Leon Maxwell SCOTT, OAM, former Borough of Eaglehawk Mayor and Councillor. Leon was born in Bendigo and has lived in Eaglehawk for the past 55 years, although not considered a LOCAL because he was not born in Eaglehawk!

We are sorry to report that The Chambers Wine Bar is closed again effective immediately. Due to very low attendances since reopening in September, The Urban Cellar have decided to cease the running of our much-loved Chambers. At this stage the future of The Chambers is unknown. However, we will endeavour to work towards a reopening as soon as is feasible.

⭐ The Melbourne International Film Festival opens at Star Cinema tonight! In celebration, we're opening our doors for drinks only from 5pm. Whether you're going to the film at 8pm or not, head upstairs for a drink or two in the grand surrounds of The Chambers Wine Bar. No bookings necessary. Cheers! 🥂

UPDATE: The Chambers Wine Bar is closed until further notice. We are working hard behind the scenes to re-open ASAP. Thank you for your patience. Stay tuned!

‼To our patrons: due to staff shortages, we have had to make the difficult call to close The Chambers Wine Bar for the next few weeks.

We love this gorgeous space and look forward to welcoming you back with a bang as soon as we are able. Stay tuned for updates and thank you for your understanding.
