Motor Neurone Disease Association of Tasmania Ambrose 4 Golf Fundraiser.

Thank you to all who participated in our fundraiser, raising vital funds to support people in Tasmania living with MND, their families and their carers.

The day started off with Egg and Bacon rolls, huge thank you to Eve and Tony for kindly cooking. Players were also offered up some fresh fruit kindly donated by Woolworths Huonville

7 teams of 4 hit the course at 10am after fueling up on breakfast under some good weather conditions. The day couldn’t have been any better. With the sun shining, players were kept hydrated out on the course with a generous donation of drinks from Steve’s Liquor Derwent Park! Huge thanks to the team at Steve’s!!

Midway through the 18 hole day, a bbq was cooked up for our players, once again kindly cooked by Eve and Tony, with the sausages generously donated by Griggs Butcher in Huonville.

Following the end of golf a presentation was held and a few words were spoken from Lyn, a board member from MND Tasmania. It was an honour to have Lyn travel down and share the work MND Tasmania do, as well as her lived experience of being a carer to a family member, who sadly passed from the disease.

Following the presentation the the club offered up pulled pork and pulled chicken with slaw rolls, with all funds going towards our fundraising efforts, huge thank you to Vee and Scotty for kindly cooking!

NOTICE TO ALL GOLFERS
Our greens will be under maintenance as of Monday 26th October and will be ongoing for the next month give or take, weather permitting! Course will remain open throughout works.

On Saturday the 17th October we were honored to host a small Dover Reunion for the second year in a row for this rowdy crew of old timers. Who over the years grew up together, played football together, sank many beers together and on Saturday had an abundance of memories to share from their times together.
