Saturday 30th August was the Robyn Burley and Ita Fahey sponsored 2 person Ambrose. It’s amazing the support our members give our club and many thanks to Robyn and Ita.

25 players contested the event with Pam Robison being a sw***er with Peter and Prue doubling her chances and unfortunately still couldn’t make the winners circle.

Mat Hopkins and Lachlan Fritz with 59 Nett just pipped Neil Clark and Jim Fahey 59 1/2. Balls went to Lachlan Brown and Simon Beaumont 59 3/4
Bruce and Caron Mackie 60 Nick Fahey and R Whitton 62 David Harvey and P Jeffrey 64 1/4

5 golfers brought along a beginner so competed in their own competition

Grant Kerr and Lenny Keech came out on top with 65 1/2 from Heather Menzies and Finn 69 3/4

24 players contested the Peter and Prue Mason sponsored stableford.
Peter and Prue are fabulous members and we appreciate their generosity in sponsoring Saturday’s competition

Coming out on top was our President David Harvey on a magnificent 43 points from Jim Fahey on 37 points

Congratulations to our ladies pennant team who took on Bellingen at Bellingen on Monday.

Heather, Oonah, Prue, Robyn and Jo managed to overcome Bellingen 4 1/2 to a half

We finished the season 2 wins and a draw and 4 losses.

15 pairings fought out the prizes in the David Lindeman sponsored Jock Colquhoun Memorial Day today. David is another of our valued member sponsors whom we could not do without.

David interestingly was a sw***er today lol

To define a sw***er it is someone who’s score is utilised by 2 separate players in their group of 4

Shane Runge and Heather Menzies came out on top in the 4BBB. With 47 points from Captain Matt and Ange Roberts on 45 points 2nd runner up was Paul Boris deVeer and Jo Doyle on 44 points

Balls went to Digger Guest and Oonah Harvey on 44 Bill WPF Fahey and Lachlan Fritz 43 Lachlan Brown and Simon Beaumont Robyn Burley and Ita Fahey Neil Clark and Jim Fahey 42 rounded out the balls

Thank you to Mal Taylor, Matt and Ange Roberts and a non Member Mas for helping today on the course.
We need more help tomorrow to clean in the rough between 9th, 1st, 2nd and 3rd as well as the driveway.
We need members with Ute’s and rakes and some muscle’s.
Luke is busy renovating the 1st green ,hoping to be in play on Thursday but more likely Saturday.

One of the most anticipated days on our golfing calendar was played yesterday 1st August 2026.

The Taylor Day 4BBB event was contested by 57 players yes you read it 57

We thank Geoff Taylor for co-ordinating the large amount of golfers he coordinates in making this a successful day

Winners of the day were the Harvey’s Aka David and Oonah with a great 45 pts closely followed by J Taylor and B Bailey on 44 pts

We had 10 pairings competing for the championship and 10 individuals playing a stableford event.
Congratulations to Heather Menzies and Lachlan Fritz who are this years champions with a very consistent 40 41 and 40 = 121 from Matt and Ange Roberts 41 41 43 = 125
Nett winners were Robyn Burley and Chris Newton 91 Nett from the Mackie’s and Jim Fahey and Jo Doyle

In the stableford Paul Boris deVeer with 33 points took the win on a countback from Mark Freeman

Balls to Mark Freeman 33 points and Simon Beaumont with 32 points
