Weโll be cracking open a bottle tonight to celebrate International Chardonnay Day. Here are five fast mid-week dinner ideas that go stunningly with The White.
๐ Simple roast chicken thigh & vegetable tray bake. Give the chicken a quick rub with some butter, lemon & dried herbs, throw it in a baking tray with roasting veg. Add a splash of Chardonnay to the roasting pan for a delicious sauce & put your feet up.
๐ Fish Tacos. Thank goodness King George Whiting are back on the bite here on Kangaroo Island. Throw some fish fillets in taco seasoning, pan-fry til crispy, and serve with tortillas, a quick coleslaw (or buy a pack), avocado & sour cream.
๐ Pumpkin Ravioli with brown butter. Grab a pack of good-quality pumpkin-filled pasta. While it boils, brown some butter, garlic & sage leaves, add chopped hazelnuts or walnuts, a splash of chardonnay to the pan with the pasta, then grate over some parmesan to finish. Stunning.
๐Mushroom Risotto. All you need is some aborio rice, stock, garlic & onion from the pantry & some fresh mushrooms. Add a splash of The White before the stock goes in, then keep yourself busy with a glass of wine while you theraputically stir.
