Yesterday, we gathered with heavy hearts to say goodbye to a truly remarkable friend.
As stories were shared, there were tears for the loss we feel and laughter for the beautiful memories Cormie gave us. Every story painted the picture of a man who lived with kindness, warmth, and a genuine love for the people around him.
The reality that he is no longer here is difficult to accept. There will forever be a space in our hearts that belongs to him, a space that can never be filled. We will miss his smile, his laughter, his friendship, and the way he made everyone feel valued and cared for.
To witness the community, friends, and family come together in such an overwhelming show of love was both heartbreaking and beautiful. It was a testament to the extraordinary impact Cormie had on so many lives. Not everyone leaves footprints as deep as his, but Cormie certainly did.
He had a gift for bringing people together, for making others feel seen, heard, and appreciated. The love shared yesterday was a reflection of the love he gave so freely throughout his life.
Cormie, you were truly one of a kind. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the conversations, and the friendship. Our lives are infinitely richer because you were part of them.
Though our hearts ache with your absence, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with you.
You will be loved, missed, and forever remembered always. Xoxo
