The Italian Club is urgently seeking a treasurer to join our team!

Treasurer – Position Description

Italo-Australian Miners Club Inc. – Coober Pedy

The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the Italian Club and ensuring that the Club’s money is managed responsibly, accurately and transparently.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
* Monitor the Club’s income, expenses, bank accounts and cash flow.
* Pay approved invoices and ensure payments are properly recorded.
* Prepare and present financial reports at committee meetings.
* Assist with preparing the annual budget and monitoring the Club’s financial performance.
* Ensure financial records are kept organised and available for authorised review.
* Assist with annual financial statements and relevant financial reporting obligations.
* Work with the President, Secretary and Management Committee to support the Club’s financial stability.
* Maintain confidentiality and act honestly and in the best interests of the Club and its members.

Skills and Commitment

The Treasurer should be organised, trustworthy, reliable and comfortable working with figures and financial records. Experience with bookkeeping or Xero is beneficial but not essential.

The role requires regular financial administration, attendance at committee meetings and assistance with annual reporting requirements.

The overall purpose of the Treasurer is to ensure the Italian Club’s finances are properly managed, the committee is kept informed of the Club’s financial position, and the Club remains financially sustainable for the benefit of its members and the Coober Pedy community.
